The cottage exceeded my expectations with its stunning location in the rainforest. I loved the privacy, feeling like we were far from the rest of the world. The hot tub was a highlight, especially soaking in it while listening to the rain outside. The gas fireplace added to the cozy atmosphere. The kitchen was well-equipped with spices and utensils, making it easy to prepare meals. We enjoyed the mountain bikes, exploring the beautiful surroundings. However, I did experience issues with check-in. I didn’t receive the access email until later, which complicated our arrival. Also, having no mobile coverage on-site made it challenging to communicate. Some breakfast options were limited, with only children's cereal available. A bit of improvement in the breakfast selection would enhance the experience.

The cottage was charming and had beautiful grounds.
I was disappointed to find that the jacuzzi water was cloudy and had a strong chemical smell. Given the wet climate in Volcano, it felt like the water should have been changed more frequently. Additionally, while the location was perfect for exploring, I did not appreciate the limited breakfast options.

during my stay, I loved how close the cottage was to the Kilauea Iki Crater and the Thurston Lava Tube, making daily explorations a delight, and the walking trails around the area really provided a fantastic way to enjoy the breathtaking scenery while soaking in the local charm.
